100 Days of Cotton continues
Cotton Plants growing in a pot, 15 weeks of growth. The 100 days of cotton so far has mostly consisted of not killing the cotton plants. Its not any more high maintenance than the tomato plants. I've given it regular watering, don't let it dry out if you can help it. And bi-monthly fertilizer during Jun - Aug. Nothing fancy there either just Miracle Grow All Purpose Fertilizer. During the growing season I find it everywhere plants or seeds are sold, including the 'dollar stores'. Cotton has a 5-6 month growing cycle, so these still have 2 months of growth and drying to go. They are on schedule to be ready to harvest by end of November. These pods will get bigger, until they fill the space they are in. Beginning soon and into October the weather will start having cooler nights and having more consistent nights in the 50's which will signal the plant to go dormant at which point the leaves and bolls with start dyeing and drying out.
